Discover Explore Autism was a wonderful series of workshops that began at Hollinwood Academy and then concluded with a fundraising exhibition displaying the students' creative pieces at MMU.

These workshops were designed and developed solely by myself for students between KS2, 3, and 4 which were delivered alongside the staff at the school. Over two weeks, students focused on the techniques and skills within the artwork to discover how these can be implemented through the use of our shared diagnosis of Autism. All whilst being inspired by a variety of artists.

Throughout this process, students needed to be supervised around the materials and 1-1 support was provided for individuals with complex special needs.

Coordination between myself and the staff at Hollinwood Academy enabled a school visitation to MMU with some of the students. Once all 200+ pieces of work had been catalogued and curated for display, they were able to see all of their hard work displayed on the walls during their own "pre-preview" event. Other participants attended later during the exhibition's official opening. Using the designs created by many students across the many workshops, a series of badges and postcards were created. These were sold, and all proceeds went towards the school for all the fantastic work they accomplish with these gifted individuals
